1. What Information Does the Application Obtain and How Is It Used?
User-Provided Information
The Application acquires the information you supply when you download and register the Application. Registration with the Service Provider is not mandatory. However, bear in mind that you might not be able to utilize some of the features offered by the Application unless you register with them.
When you sign in using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, the Service Provider receives from the identity provider:
- A unique user identifier (UID) assigned by Firebase Authentication
- Email address (if provided by the identity provider)
- Display name (if provided by the identity provider)
To deliver the core functionality of Qit, the Service Provider stores the following data that you enter:
- Habit type, custom name and emoji
- Frequency, unit, and estimated daily spending
- Quit start date and time
- Craving log entries: timestamp, place (text you enter), emotional context, intensity (1–10)
- Achievements unlocked and their unlock timestamps
Habit-tracking data (quit date, craving logs, and related health information) may constitute health-related data under GDPR Article 9. We process this data based on your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you provide by voluntarily entering this information into the Application. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (see Section 7).
Automatically Collected Information
In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device's unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, and information about the way you use the Application.
Specifically, the Application automatically collects:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token — used to deliver push notifications on Android; on iOS, an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token is used via Firebase
- Crash reports: device model, OS version, app version, stack trace (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Anonymous usage events via Firebase Analytics: screen views, habit lifecycle actions, craving log interactions, onboarding steps, sign-in method chosen
- Android Advertising ID (GAID) — collected automatically by Firebase Analytics on Android devices. Used for analytics and, if advertising features are enabled, for measuring ad performance. On iOS, Apple's IDFA may be used for the same purposes subject to your App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent.
No personally identifiable information is attached to analytics events.
2. Does the Application Collect Precise Real-Time Location?
This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device. Craving log entries may include a location label that you type yourself (for example, "home" or "at work"). The Application does not access GPS coordinates or any device location services.
3. Does the Application Use Artificial Intelligence?
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.
4. Do Third Parties See and/or Have Access to the Information?
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider does not sell your data to third parties.
The Application may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. If advertising is enabled, the Android Advertising ID (GAID) or Apple IDFA may be shared with ad providers solely for ad delivery and performance measurement — never for selling your data. You can opt out at any time through your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking).
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information only:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
The Application utilizes the following third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies:

5. Data Storage and Synchronization
On-device storage
All habit, craving, and achievement data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. The local database is excluded from Android Auto Backup — Firestore is the source of truth for signed-in users.
Cloud storage
When you are signed in, your data is synchronized to Google Firebase Firestore under a path scoped to your unique user ID. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by Google Cloud infrastructure.
Soft-deleted records are retained for up to 3 days to support multi-device sync consistency, then permanently removed from cloud storage.
6. Push Notifications
The Application may send the following types of notifications:
- Daily reminders — motivational messages to support your quit journey (morning and evening)
- Achievement notifications — alerts when you unlock a milestone
- Health milestone notifications — reminders tied to health recovery timelines
You can disable notifications at any time in your device's system settings (Settings → Notifications → Qit).
7. Account Deletion
Settings → Delete Account
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:
- All habit records stored in Firestore
- All craving log records stored in Firestore
- All achievement records stored in Firestore
- Your user document in Firestore
- Your Firebase Authentication account
- All local on-device data
Deletion is immediate — no retention period applies after account deletion is confirmed. Anonymous aggregated analytics data may persist per Google's standard retention policies.
8. Opt-Out Rights
You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.
To delete your account and all associated data, use Settings → Delete Account inside the Application (see Section 7).
9. Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like the Service Provider to delete User Provided Data, please contact them at bulatkinstudio@gmail.com or use Settings → Delete Account inside the app.
Automatically Collected information is retained as follows:
- Firebase Analytics event data — up to 14 months
- Firebase Crashlytics crash reports — up to 90 days
- Soft-deleted sync records — up to 3 days, then permanently removed
10. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- GDPR Right to access, rectify, erase, or port your data
- GDPR Right to withdraw consent and object to processing
- GDPR Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority in your country of residence (Article 77)
- CCPA Right to know what data is collected and request deletion

To exercise any of these rights, please contact the Service Provider at bulatkinstudio@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
11. Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at bulatkinstudio@gmail.com so that the necessary actions can be taken.
13. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Google LLC maintains infrastructure. Google's services comply with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and use Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers.
14. Consent
By using the Application, you are giving your consent to the Service Provider processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing" means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States.
15. Changes to This Policy
